Justin Jackson is a longtime resident, public servant, and advocate deeply rooted in the city he calls home.

A proud graduate of this city’s public schools and a University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Ethnic Studies, specifically Pan Asian American Studies, Justin has built a career spanning all levels of government and public service.

His professional background spans city, county, state, and federal government—including roles as a city commissioner, field deputy, legislative aide, constituent services manager, and communications strategist. He currently serves as a City Commissioner on the Environmental and Historical Preservation Commission in Moreno Valley and as a Senior Press Secretary for a national labor and environmental coalition. In every role, Justin has built coalitions, crafted messaging that drives policy change, and worked to deliver tangible outcomes for communities like his own.

As a mentor and former Vice President of Membership for Delta Sigma Phi, Justin has helped guide young men in leadership, education, and service. His greatest influence has come from the dedicated teachers who helped him find his voice and see his potential—educators who showed up every day, challenged him, and cared deeply about him. Their example fuels his commitment and confidence to lead the Moreno Valley Unified School District.

Now, as a Board Member for the Moreno Valley Unified School Board, Justin brings not only his professional experiences but the perspective of someone who has walked the same hallways, sat in the same classrooms, and grown up in the same neighborhoods as the students he seeks to represent.

He is ready to lead with empathy, urgency, and a deep commitment to every student’s future.
